What is Mind To Movement?
Mind To Movement is more than just a name; it has a strong meaning to me. The word ‘Mind’ stands for supporting your mental health therapeutically. Sometimes, you may find it difficult to switch off the overthinking mind. To alleviate this, ‘Movement’ means using yoga to connect with your body, becoming more present and grounded. The word ‘Movement’ also signifies 'a change or development', which represents the personal transformation that will develop through our sessions. Finally, ‘Movement’ also expresses a community and union. If you are struggling with your wellbeing it can be isolating; I feel it is important to build a network through Mind To Movement, creating a space where you can connect with others.

Why Yoga?
In Sanskrit, yoga, known as ‘yuji,’ means ‘to unite’ or ‘to join’. Yoga invites you to harbour a deeper connection with yourself, giving you the tools to build your resilience. I believe yoga is accessible to all, no matter where you are emotionally or physically. Even the simplest of yoga postures are beneficial, as they allow you to create space in your mind and connect with your body.
Research has proven yoga to have many physical and mental health benefits, some of these include:

Reducing stress
Improving symptoms of anxiety and depression
Reducing inflammation
Reducing chronic pain
Promoting sleep quality
Improving flexibility and balance

What is Yoga Therapy?
Yoga therapy uses gentle yoga postures, breathing techniques and meditation to improve your physical and emotional needs. You do not need to have a yoga practice already; sessions will empower you to develop a deeper connection to your body. Yoga therapy's focus is to explore areas you would like to change, with the overall goal to improve your wellbeing.
